2 and a half

You know the economy is bad when you can't sell a stroller for a $1.00

Pictured is the Graco DuoGlider Double Stroller that I have posted on Craigslist. The only reason this is notable at all is because I have it listed at $1.00. Yes, you read that right - one dollar. How many inquiries have I received? Exactly zero.  

 

There are perhaps three explanations:

1. The economy is really rough on people right now.

2. It's a crappy stroller.

3. People are morons.

Perhaps it's a combination of the three but who doesn't want a stroller for $1.00? Granted my ad says make a "reasonable" offer once you read it but still. And it's a pretty good stroller - in fact one of the best double strollers for the money according to certain consumer research. It's even got what they call "stadium seating," multiple seat positions and costs $120+ new. Even at $50 it's still a screaming deal.

But alas, no inquiries. Perhaps I'll be donating it to someone in need for the holidays. Of course, given the track record so far that person may reject it in which case I'm really in trouble. Maybe I can start using it as a shopping cart? 

Bugaboo

We're selling our Bugaboo. It's such a great stroller but when you've got two kids versus one it just doesn't offer the needed functionality - even with this 5th wheel contraption we've got that you can attach to the rear axle for a toddler to ride on. So we haven't used it much at all since Grace was born and instead have accumulated other strollers instead - we now have 5. In addition to the Bugaboo we have a side-by-side double stroller (our current go-to stroller), one in-line double stroller (which is kind of awkward to push - I'll be selling that one too), a jogger (a.k.a. the "Bob"), and a single umbrella stroller (good for travel because it is small and light-weight).

If you know of anyone in the market for a Bugaboo have them send me an email. It's in great shape and will cost them a lot less than a new one.
